Free, no sign-up

Every tool I use with paying clients, free.

Ten calculators and checks covering the decisions that actually sink campaigns — what to charge, what you keep, how big a goal you can clear, and whether the money you are about to spend is worth spending. No email required for any of them.

Not sure where to start? This walks through all ten in order, with a worked example running a £50,000 target through the lot.

Before you commit

Work out whether Kickstarter is the right route, and whether the thing you want to make is even allowed on it.

Working out the numbers

What to charge, what actually reaches your bank, and how big a goal you can genuinely clear.

Once money is going out

The arithmetic that decides whether advertising and paid promotion are worth doing at all.

Why these are free

Most of the expensive mistakes on Kickstarter are arithmetic mistakes made early — a price that never had room for shipping, a goal nobody could clear on day one, an advert running below break-even for a fortnight. None of that needs a consultant to spot. It needs ten minutes and the right sum.

So these are the same tools I open in client calls, with no sign-up and no email capture. If you work through them and the numbers hold up, you probably do not need me. If they do not, at least you found out before you spent anything.

Using these with a class or a cohort?

They are free to use in teaching and nothing here asks students for an email address, so a whole room can work through them at once. I teach crowdfunding at university level and these are the tools I put in front of students.
