Privacy Policy

Last updated: 25 June 2026

This page explains what personal information I collect when you visit adamwebb.pro or buy something from me, why I collect it, who else sees it, and the rights you have over it. I run this business as a single person, not a company, so when this page says "I" or "me", that means Adam Webb trading as Adam Webb Consulting.

1. What I collect, and when

When you just visit the site: I use Vercel Web Analytics, which is cookieless and does not track individuals. It counts page views and tells me roughly which country, browser and referring page a visit came from. It does not see your IP address, set cookies, or build a profile of you.

When you buy something: Stripe handles the payment. Stripe captures your name, email, billing address (for invoices and tax) and card details. I do not see or store your card number — Stripe does. I do see your name, email and what you bought so I can deliver the service or product.

When you email me: I keep the email and your address so I can reply and find the thread later. Emails sit in my inbox until I delete them.

2. Why I collect it

To deliver what you bought, issue a tax invoice, reply to your messages, and keep the books for HMRC. Nothing more.

I do not run advertising trackers, retargeting pixels, affiliate networks or behavioural profiling on this site. I do not sell, rent or share your data with any third party for marketing.

3. Who else sees it

A small number of services I rely on to actually run the business:

  • Stripe — for payments, invoicing and refunds. Stripe is the data controller for card data, I am the controller for the order record.
  • Vercel — hosts this website and serves it to you. Receives the same data your browser sends to any web server (URL, user agent, approximate location).
  • Google Workspace / Apple Mail — wherever I happen to be reading email, so I can reply to you.

If a UK or EU tax authority, court or regulator validly requires me to share data, I will. I will tell you about it if I am legally allowed to.

4. How long I keep it

Order records and invoices: six years. That is the period HMRC requires for tax records and overrides any earlier deletion you might ask for.

General emails: I delete them when they are no longer useful. There is no fixed schedule.

Analytics: Vercel aggregates and stores anonymised counts. I cannot identify you from it.

5. Your rights

Under UK GDPR and EU GDPR you can:

  • Ask what data I hold about you
  • Ask me to correct anything that is wrong
  • Ask me to delete it (subject to the six-year tax retention above)
  • Withdraw any consent you previously gave for me to use it
  • Complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk

To exercise any of these, email me at adam@adamwebb.pro. I respond within a week.

6. Cookies

This site does not set any first-party cookies. It also does not embed third-party analytics or advertising scripts that would set them. If you bought something via Stripe, Stripe's checkout page sets its own cookies on its own domain — that is covered by Stripe's privacy policy, not mine.

7. Children

This is a business-to-business service. Nothing on this site is intended for under-16s and I do not knowingly collect data from anyone in that age group.

8. International transfers

Stripe and Vercel are US-headquartered. They process data on UK-compliant standard contractual clauses. By using the site you accept that some of your data may be processed outside the UK on that basis.

9. Changes to this policy

If I change anything important here, I update the "Last updated" date at the top. There is no mailing list to send out a notification because I do not run one for this purpose.
