For universities and business schools
A practitioner-led masterclass, delivered virtually or on-site, from an official Kickstarter Expert Partner. Real campaigns, real numbers, real founder — not a theorist talking about entrepreneurship in the abstract.
Universities book by email. Adam invoices on university PO. Fees quoted in GBP.
Real campaigns
Every example in the class comes from a campaign that actually ran, with actual numbers. Students leave knowing what a real Kickstarter funding curve looks like, not a stylised chart from a textbook.
Vetted by Kickstarter
One of a small, hand-picked list of consultants Kickstarter itself vouches for. Not a self-awarded badge. More on the programme.
Full stack
The class covers the whole arc: validating the problem, cheap prototyping, launching a live campaign, and pulling in real backer money. Students leave with actionable steps, not just concepts.
Founder voice
I built my own product company from nothing, made every mistake in the book, and now advise other founders through the same process. Honest, direct, no jargon — the way students actually want to learn.
Delivered as one full-day masterclass, or picked apart into shorter workshops. Universities pick what fits the course.
Module 1
Where good product ideas actually come from. How to interview your own customers before you build anything. The frameworks that separate "cool idea" from "people will pay for this". Includes a live worked example students can copy.
Module 2
How to validate a product without spending your student loan on tooling. Paper prototypes, 3D printing, laser cutting, and using early manufacturers to build one hundred units before you commit to ten thousand. What "MVP" actually means for physical products.
Module 3
The full pre-launch to launch-day process. Building an email list before you have a product. Writing a campaign page that converts. Pricing reward tiers. What Kickstarter's all-or-nothing model means in practice, and how first-time creators regularly hit their goal in the first 48 hours.
Module 4
Meta ads for pre-launch and campaign traffic. Realistic cost-per-lead and cost-per-backer benchmarks. Backer psychology and pledge tier engineering. How to actually forecast a campaign before you launch it, and adjust when the numbers aren't going your way.
Fees quoted in GBP, exclusive of VAT (not currently applicable — Adam Webb Consulting is not UK VAT-registered). Travel and accommodation reimbursed at cost for on-site sessions.

Universities running entrepreneurship, product design, industrial design, engineering, business, or creative arts programmes. Any course where students are being asked to take an idea from concept to a real product they'll actually launch. Undergraduate through MBA level, plus incubator and accelerator cohorts.
How to move an idea from a napkin sketch to a live, funded crowdfunding campaign. The four blocks: ideation (validating the problem), prototyping (cheap MVPs that prove the concept), launch (Kickstarter or Indiegogo mechanics, page structure, pre-launch list building), and raising money (ad strategy, backer conversion, hitting a funding goal in the first 48 hours). Every stage uses real numbers from real campaigns.
Email me with the date, format (virtual or on-site), student cohort size, and which of the four modules you want covered. I'll come back with a confirmed quote in GBP. Universities typically pay via invoice or purchase order — not card. Fees are exclusive of travel and accommodation for on-site engagements, which are reimbursed at cost.
Yes. The core curriculum stays the same but I re-cut examples and case studies based on your students' background — engineering cohort gets hardware campaigns, design school gets consumer product launches, MBA gets the financial and forecasting angle. Send me your syllabus and I'll fit around it.
Yes. On-site engagements outside the UK are fine, with reasonable notice. Travel and accommodation reimbursed at cost. For distant destinations I'll usually suggest bundling two or three sessions into one trip to make the economics work for everyone.
Online sessions run three hours minimum, delivered over video call, covering two or three modules with live Q&A and interactive exercises. On-site half-day (three to four hours) is a workshop-style session in the room, covering two or three modules in depth. On-site full-day (six to seven hours) covers all four modules with a live worked example — students leave with a rough campaign concept they've drafted in the room. Full-day works better for launching cohorts and startup programmes.
