For London Kickstarter founders
Most London Kickstarter agencies quote £10,000+ and add a slice of your raise on top. I don't. British, official Kickstarter Expert Partner, £3M+ raised across 30+ campaigns, and every one funded.
£49 ebook to £5,000 Done-for-You. Flat fees. Full ladder on the homepage.

London vs the alternatives
If you're a London-based founder considering a Kickstarter, you've got three real choices. A London Kickstarter agency (five-figure retainer, team of account managers, may take a percentage of your raise on top). A US-based consultant (cheaper on paper but doesn't know UK VAT, IOSS or Companies House). Or a British solo consultant who does.
The first is overkill for most launches under £500k. The second costs you three calls of explaining your own tax rules back to them. The third — that's what I do.
I'm British, an official Kickstarter Expert Partner, and I publish every price on the homepage before you commit. If you launched from London and hit trouble on VAT thresholds, EU shipping, or Stripe payouts, I've been there. If you want a strategy call before you commit to a full engagement, that's £60. Not £250, not "let's schedule a discovery call so we can quote".
The ladder
London Kickstarter agencies hide their prices behind discovery calls for a reason. It's easier to work you up to £15,000 in a 45-minute call than it is to publish the number and let you compare.
FAQ
Not strictly — Kickstarter consulting is a knowledge business, not a face-to-face one. What matters is the consultant knows the UK crowdfunding landscape, understands the tax and shipping realities of launching from Britain, and can be on your calls in your time zone. London-based tends to correlate with that. So does British in general. The city part matters less than the country part.
I'm British — I'm on UK working hours, I bill in GBP, and I understand HMRC, Companies House, and post-Brexit shipping first-hand. Client meetings run on Zoom or by email; I don't run a London office and I don't charge founders for coffee-shop meetings. If in-person is important to you, that's an honest constraint to raise on the strategy call before we start.
The London Kickstarter agency market runs £8,000–£15,000 for advisory-only engagements, sometimes plus a percentage of your raise. My published pricing is £60 for a strategy call, £750 for full coaching, and £5,000 for a done-for-you launch build. Flat fees, paid once, no percentages. Full ladder is on the homepage.
Agencies typically have teams — account managers, junior copywriters, ad ops, project managers. Overhead is what you're paying for when the fees hit five figures. A consultant is one person who has actually launched campaigns. Faster decisions, no comms lag, and you're talking to the person doing the work. For sub-£500k launches, a solo consultant usually makes more sense than an agency.
Yes — product design, tech, homeware and hardware are the categories I work with most. What matters more than location is whether the product is right for Kickstarter, and whether you've done the pre-launch groundwork that lets the campaign fund quickly. The £60 strategy call is the cheapest way to find out.
Yes. Product startups, founder-led brands, hardware companies, design-led consumer products. If you're a London-based startup considering Kickstarter as a launch channel or a first-round of validation, the strategy call is designed for exactly this.
Ideally 8–12 weeks before your target launch date. Pre-launch is where the campaign is really made — landing page, email list, page copy, video, reward tiers. Founders who show up two weeks out are usually asking for damage limitation. If you're in that spot, the £60 strategy call is the fastest way to figure out what's still fixable.
Most of my clients are UK-wide, EU, US and rest of world. Kickstarter consulting is remote by nature — video calls, shared docs, async review. London founders don't get preferential treatment. The only real geographical advantage London founders have is easy access to some of the fulfilment partners and freight forwarders I work with. That's not a huge lever.
Yes. Kickstarter runs a small, hand-picked programme of vetted consultants and I'm one of them. It's the closest thing the industry has to a third-party quality check. The dedicated page on this site (kickstarter-expert-partner) has the full breakdown.
No. Every price is a flat fee, paid once. Percentage-of-raise deals are the London agency default and they earn agencies more than the work justifies. Kickstarter itself takes 5%, Stripe takes about 3%. Adding another 10–15% for a consultant on top is a tax on traffic the platform delivered. Flat fee. Full stop.
